Our family rice-plate shop is on Prasan Maitri Road in Sop Tui, a short way from Nakhon Lampang station. People come for pork or beef in oyster sauce over rice, cooked one plate at a time.
Chaipochana is a family shop that has passed through several generations in Sop Tui. Look for the yellow shophouse with timber folding doors and a black name board, before the Don Pan crossroads.
Our signature is pork or beef in oyster sauce: beef rump and pork loin marinated for days in the family mix, then wok-fried with oyster sauce and bird's-eye chilli until tender and glossy.
We also cook holy-basil pork or beef, meat stir-fried with egg, crisp-fried basil, garlic pork and a puffed, crunchy fried egg. Each plate goes into the wok only when ordered, so expect a short wait at busy times.
We are a short ride from Nakhon Lampang station. Horse-drawn carriages still carry visitors around town, Kad Kong Ta runs along the Wang River, and Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao is one of the old temples. These four views are of Lampang town, not of the shop.

From the elephant-fountain roundabout outside Nakhon Lampang station, follow Prasan Maitri Road about 400 m; we are on the left before the Don Pan crossroads, a yellow shophouse with a Shell Chuan Chim sign.
Write your order on the slip at your table and hand it in. The side passage leads to a roofed yard with more seats.

What makes your beef in oyster sauce different? Beef rump and pork loin marinated ahead in our family mix, then fast-fried with oyster sauce and chilli, so the meat is soft and the sauce thick enough to coat the rice.
No beef for me. Is there pork? Almost everything comes with pork instead: oyster-sauce pork, holy-basil pork, pork with egg, crisp basil pork and garlic pork.
